Faculty Opportunities:

All Instructors are expected to:
• Have demonstrated leadership experience
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Possess organizational and time management skills, and the able to multitask
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Must be computer literate (Outlook, Word, Power Point, etc.)

Practical Nursing Instructors (Part-time)

 

OIAH needs additional instructors in the Practical Nursing program - MUST have Bachelor Science of Nursing, BSN. (We anticipate needing more masters trained nurses, MSN, soon too. If you are working toward your MSN this could be a great fit.) You will serves as the main provider of student instruction, responsible to and reporting to the Program Administrator. Instructors work directly with Director of Nursing Education to maintain and enhance curricula. You will serve as a positive, professional role model for students and representative of OIAH in word and deed.

 

Requirements:
• 2 years experience as RN (full-time or equivalent)
• BSN
• Valid license to practice nursing in Ohio
• 2 years of teaching experience preferred but not required

 

Registered Nursing Instructors (Part-time)

 

OIAH needs additional instructors in the Registered Nursing program - MUST have Master Science of Nursing, MSN. You will serves as the main provider of student instruction, responsible to and reporting to the Program Administrator. Instructors work directly with Director of Nursing Education to maintain and enhance curricula. You will serve as a positive, professional role model for students and representative of OIAH in word and deed.

• 2 years experience as RN (full-time or equivalent)
• MSN
• Valid license to practice nursing in Ohio
• 2 years of teaching experience preferred but not required

 

Medical Assisting Instructors (Part-time)

 

OIAH needs additional instructors in the Medical Assisting program - MUST be certified medical assistant. You will serve as a positive, professional role model for students and representative of OIAH in word and deed. The philosophy of OIAH and the Medical Assisting Program seeks focus on learning opportunities versus punitive events. Instructors are required to cover all material in depth and scope as described in syllabus. They also utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.

 

Requirements:
• 3 year experience as a medical assistant (full-time or equivalent)
• CMA, Certified Medical Assistant from a state approved program
• Associates Degree from accredited college preferred
• 2 years of teaching experience preferred but not required

 

Requirements:
• Registered Nurse, current licensure in Ohio
• Minimum of 2 years DOCUMENTED experience as a Registered Nurse caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age
• Current “Train-the-Trainer” Certification

 

Temp-to-Hire Administrative Assistant (Part-time)

Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Enjoy working with others
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects
• Dependable
 

Recommended:
• Associate’s Degree (preferred, but not required)
• Previous office or customer service experience a plus
 

Function:

Part-time, temporary job with opportunity for long-term employment. Serves as administrative support for school operations and the Nursing Education Department. In the past, highly successful candidates were promoted.

 

Schedule:
• Monday-Friday hours between 9:00am-6:00pm
• 20 to 26 hours per week
• Flexible hours
• Occasional night & weekend hours (no more than once per week)
 

Responsibilities:

  70% - Nursing Education Department
• Duties as needed for accreditation and approval bodies
• Maintenance of Nursing Education Program records
• Writing reports and other clerical duties as needed
• Creating tables and Spreadsheets, as needed
 

30% - Front Office Duties

  • Front desk – greeting/assisting visitors, and answering/transferring phone calls
• Timely return of messages including e-mail messages
• Follow-up phone calls for Admission’s department
• Orientation assistance, assemble packets
• Proctor entrance exams, as needed
• Assist faculty, as needed
• Meeting minutes
• Prospective student record maintenance and processing lead reports
• Other duties as assigned by School Director and/or Director of Admissions
