Admission Information

 

Enrolling at OIAH is easy! You must be at least 18 years old and be a high school graduate to enroll in any of our career orientated training programs. Bring a photo ID and your social security card to the admissions office. Each applicant will have the opportunity to meet with an admissions representative! They can direct you through the entire process - provide you with program requirements, and the curriculum.

OIAH does not currently support international students requiring F-1 Student Visa. International students who do NOT require a F-1 Student Visa are encouraged to apply.

Question: Do you take transfer credits?

Answer: Yes, OIAH accepts transfer credits in accordance with our general admissions policies. Submit an official copy of your college transcript for an evaluation by the School Director and Program Coordinator.

 

Question: Is there an entrance test?

Answer: There is not entrance test for the STNA, PCT, or GXMO program. All other program applicants are required to take an entrance test.

 

Question: Why do I need a background check?

Answer: The Ohio Institute of Allied Health aims to cultivate the highest level of learning environment. Most programs require a BCI&I and FBI background check to ascertain the ability of accepted applicants to eventually become licensed professionals, to strengthen the continuing trust of the public and maintain the best clinical affiliations.

 

Question: How do I request my official transcript?

Answer: Contact your school. You can also send your transcripts electronically through a system called parchment. Logon to Parchment.com to see if your school can processes transcripts online.

STNA, PCT, and GXMO students must register in person. You must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate. Bring a photo ID, social security card and high school diploma or equivalent* to the admissions office. Appointments are available by calling (937) 237-1010 or emailing admissions@oiah.org. Appointments recommended, but not required (937) 237-1010.

 

* OIAH will accept applicants who have a recognized equivalent of High School Diploma such as a home-schooled certificate by the state where the student resided during home school. The student must have completed homeschooling at the secondary level as defined by state law.

 

Registered Nurse, Practical Nurse, Medical Assistant, Massage Therapist, and Holistic Health Practitioner can begin by downloading the application. You’ll also be required to take a program-specific entrance exam and interview with the admissions department. Appointments recommended, but not required (937) 237-1010.
